Our Culture

Inside the Firstup experience

As the experts in workforce comms, Firstup employees are creating change and having fun doing it!

Benefits and Perks

Rewards to match the impact

The human element of the employee experience is just as important as the digital one. Our benefits help our people live their best lives, so they can do their best work.

Doing your best starts with feeling your best. We provide fully paid medical, dental, and vision for employees, plus 70% for dependents.

You can’t mobilize if you don’t rest and recharge—so take as much paid time off as you need.

When we say we want you to take time off, we mean it. To encourage you, we offer extra compensation when you take time off in full-week increments.

There’s life beyond work, and someday there will be a lot of it. We’ll help you save for that time.

We invest in our people and build their skills for the future of work—no matter where that future takes them.

We support making big changes, and nothing will change your life more than bringing a child into your family. That’s why we offer 8 weeks of fully paid family leave for all parents or 12 weeks for the birthing parent.

We give you paid days off to give back, because we want our workforce to be a force for good.

Although much of our workforce is remote, when we do head into the office, we subsidize eco-friendly ways to get there.

Diversity and Inclusion

Belonging

At Firstup, we can’t redefine the digital employee experience without accomplishing it first at our own company.

Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are the foundation of the digital employee experience. We strive to create an environment where employees feel safe, encouraged, and motivated, allowing them to bring their whole selves to work.

These are not words we use lightly. We strive daily to weave DEIB into our culture through our processes, people, and decision-making.

Community

Connecting with each other and the world

Community is many things. It’s where we work, the cities we live in, the neighborhoods we call home, and our relationships with our customers.

That’s why we offer a variety of programs and initiatives to build these communities, including paid days off to volunteer each quarter and a matching donation program. We also host roundtable discussions with employees and customers to share ideas on various DEIB initiatives.

Why did you choose Firstup?

“I saw a fantastic commercial opportunity supported by strong and empathetic leadership. I’ve stayed because of the welcomeness and inclusion I’ve always felt on the sales team and beyond. My being gay has never been an issue with any of my immediate colleagues or the organization at large. With 60% women in closing roles, I believe our diversity helps make us the leader in the space.”

ALEX SIRKIN | Regional Vice President, Sales

How is your voice heard?

“I’m always given opportunities and space to let my opinions be heard by my colleagues and management. My manager is especially great at ensuring any questions or concerns I’ve ever had have been answered.”

CALISTA OPARAUGO | Technical Support Engineer

What is life like as a remote employee?

“It’s great! I think it increases efficiency. I appreciate the time saved commuting to the office. I feel fully engaged with colleagues through video conferences.”

JOHNATHAN CHEUNG | Senior Engagement Manager
