“Mr. Leonard Lauder has always said listen first and lead second. It’s important to have intimate conversations with people and really understand what people want.”
Lisa Penn is the Executive Director of Employee Engagement in the Office of the CIO at Estée Lauder Companies. She has been at The Estée Lauder Companies since 2000. She has held numerous positions over her 21 year span both in IT and on the Global Brand side. She currently leads Employee Engagement and Education for the IT Global Organization. In this episode, she talks about how one size does not fit all when it comes to employee engagement.
“One size does not fit all. People want to engage in a number of different ways. Some people want one-on-ones. Some people want to be on a team. Some people want to learn and engage through newsletters. We need to have high touch moments to reach everybody and really create meaningful moments for all.”
