Cookie Statement

Revised on: July 12, 2023

To find an older version of these terms, go here.

This Cookie Statement is provided by Firstup, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates (including Dynamic Signal) (collectively, “Firstup”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) to explain how our websites (“Sites”) use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”), and how you may exercise your preferences with respect to Cookies. This Cookie Statement should be read together with our Privacy Policy

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your web browser when you access certain websites on your computer, mobile device, tablet, or other internet-enabled device. Our Sites may use both “first-party” Cookies (Cookies stored directly by us) and “third-party” Cookies (Cookies stored by third-parties through our Sites). Some Cookies are session Cookies, which expire upon the conclusion of your browsing session (e.g., when you close your browser), and some are persistent Cookies, which persist until they expire or are deleted from your browser. The type of each Cookie on our Sites depends on the specific purpose it serves.

Do Cookies contain personal information?

Cookies may identify a person or device through the use of internet or electronic activity information and unique device identifiers. In some cases, a Cookie placed on your web browser on our Sites can be read by another website to identify you between two or more websites. To the extent that our use of Cookies involves personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

How are Cookies used?

We use Cookies for various purposes, including authenticating your logins, remembering your preferred language and other preferences, determining your approximate (non-precise) location, social media networking, and for advertising. Some of these Cookies are “essential” Cookies, which means that they are necessary for our Sites to function as intended, while others serve different purposes, as described below.

What Cookies are used by our Sites?

Our Sites may store the following categories of Cookies:

Essential Cookies. These Cookies are always active and are necessary for our Sites to function. They are often stored in response to your own actions, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or when filling out webforms. You cannot disable essential Cookies on our Sites. If you configure your browser to block essential Cookies, our Sites may not function as intended.

Functional Cookies. These Cookies enable our Sites to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers, including social media services, whose services we have added to our webpages to provide these enhanced functionalities. If functional Cookies are disabled, then such enhanced functionalities may stop working.

Performance Cookies. Also known as “analytics” Cookies, these Cookies record visits and traffic sources to our Sites so that we can measure and improve the performance of our Sites. They help us to know which webpages are the most popular and better understand how visitors move around and interact with our Sites.

Some of our performance cookies are managed for us by third parties. For example, Firstup uses Google Analytics. You can review how Google may use your data at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/ (or any other URL Google may use to display its partner privacy policy from time to time). If you disable performance Cookies, your visit to and use of our Sites will not contribute to our website analytics.

Targeting Cookies. Also known as “advertising” Cookies, these Cookies may be stored through our Sites by us or by our advertising partners. They may be used to identify your interests and show you relevant advertising on other websites, including for our products and services. If you disable these Cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

What Cookies are currently in use?

A full list of the Cookies currently used on our Sites is available under the “Details” tab of the Cookie Preference Settings.

Depending on your location and the rights applicable to you, you may be able to “opt-in” (i.e., consent) or “opt-out” of certain types of nonessential Cookies (i.e., functional, performance, and targeting Cookies). To exercise the options available to you, please refer to our Cookie Preference Settings. Please note that if you clear your web browser’s Cookie cache or visit our Sites from a different web browser or device, your Cookie preferences may need to be reset.

Most web browsers also have built-in Cookie features that allow you to adjust your Cookie preferences and delete your Cookies. However, please note that our Sites may not respond to Do-Not-Track signals or opt-out preference signals, such as global privacy controls.

Are there any specific rights that apply to me?

Visitors from the U.S., residents of California and residents of certain other U.S. states may have the right to opt-out of the “sale” and “sharing” of personal information and its use for profiling and targeted advertising, as defined by such laws. You may exercise such rights by navigating to the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information section of our Privacy Policy.

Visitors from the European Union, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions, will be opted out of all nonessential Cookies by default but may opt-in (consent) to any category of Cookie by togging each respective Cookie category “On.” Likewise, you may subsequently toggle each respective Cookie category to “Off” if you wish to withdraw your consent.

We may update this Cookie Statement from time-to-time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the Cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make changes to this Cookie Statement, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of the page, so please review this Cookie Statement regularly for updates.
